What’s Next: “Scaling” Public Speaking Success
Yesterday we had a great call with our VIP members.
Continuing on with our topic this week, many folks have reported on their recent success with public speaking events.
Congrats go out to Conor Kelly who put over 100 people in a room for his recent Nutrition seminar.
And Jeff & Vern Gauthier who had over 100 in attendance as well at their GOLD RUSH last week, signing up 17 new personal training clients in one shot!
AWESOME.
Anyway, it’s no surprise that the conversation then turned towards “what’s next”.
How do you take a great strategy that’s working well for you and do MORE with it?
Well, that’s what scale is all about.
If you put 100 people in a room… next time go for 200.
But when you’re playing in the big leagues like this, it requires MORE lead time, more planning, more attention to detail, etc. to get it all right.
Jeff & Vern are planning an event now for the fall and I advised them to have a least a 6 month lead time in planning/preparations/marketing.
What marketing strategies do you use to put more “butts in seats” and blow past the 200 mark?
The answer is:
ALL OF THEM.
You use everything you’ve got.
- Strategic Alliances
- Advertising
- Publicity & Media Marketing
- Direct Mail
- Online Marketing
- Email marketing
- Networking
- Smaller public speaking events that ‘feed’ into the larger one
- And more.
Use everything you’ve got and then some… and then when you’re exhausted… do some more.
Break your own record by pushing outside your comfort zone.
As Coach Berry says “we’re gonna have to stop thinking outside the box and start tearing it up!”
Everyday I’m continually inspired by the great people we have the opportunity to work with.
