The 3 reasons you’re not getting fitness referrals

I call it the “triple-gap threat” to your BUSINESS. Because it goes way beyond just getting referrals.

Here they are – the 3 reasons you’re not getting referrals (and your biz isn’t getting traction):

1. Value-Gap: This is the big, hairy problem that must be fixed – pronto – or you may as well get a job. If your clients PERCEIVE the value they’re getting from you as EITHER equal to, or less than what they are paying you, well…that is not a good thing. In fact, it’s a biz-killer (not a buzz-killer, a BUSINESS KILLER).

2. Relationship-Gap: If your clients don’t PERCEIVE that they have a real relationship with you…then they probably don’t know, like and TRUST you enough to refer. (Remember, it’s one thing for me to buy from you, it’s a whole other thing for me to recommend my good friend buy from you. I’ll risk my dough, but I won’t put my friends’ dough at risk.)

3. Recognition-Gap: If they’ve referred to you in the past, or done ANYTHING positive at all (i.e. just showing up for workouts), they need to be recognized for it. They must PERCEIVE that you care about THEM. Remember what Napoleon astutely observed…”Men will die for ribbons.”

Notice the use of the word “perceive” thoughout.

What you think does NOT matter. All that matters is what your clients think.
