31 Keys to Exploding Your Boot Camp or Group Training Business
Thursday I shared with you Jason Goggans case study video on how he exploded his boot camps from zero to 89 campers in just 7 months.
If you haven’t watched his video yet, make sure you take a moment to go back and do so now.
It’s great inspiring story and MEATY case study that I hope you take the time to watch and study closely if you haven’t already.
I also hope it gives you some motivation to kick your butt in gear if you’re still doing the same-ol-same-ol, watching everyone else grow while your business is stuck at a standstill (or worse, in decline from previous years).
It’s one thing to sit and watch a video, and say “yeah, i get that”. But actually going out and DOING it is what gets you the results you want.
There’s no good reason why you can’t make 2010 your best year yet in the fitness industry if you’re ready and willing commit to it!
Watching Jason’s video I counted 29 keys to success he shared in his story. I then invited you to watch and make your own list at home and post it to the blog.
Well after a few folks had posted, I went back and watched the video again… and added 2 more keys I missed in my notes the first time around.
So here they are, all 31 keys I pulled out of watching Jason’s video:
- Driving Passion To Succeed
- Treat your business like a real business, not a side job
- Good Market Research
- Print Advertising
- Strategic Alliances
- Website

- High Commitment to Customer Service

- Boot Camp Recipe Book
- Weekly Cardio Routine Emailed to all Campers

- Client Relationship Building- Say “Hi!” and Have a Brief Conversation With Every Single Client, Every Single Session

There you have it, my list pulled from watching Jason’s video.
I hope you not just watch these videos we post, but also take a few moments to take notes like this, so you can study and LEARN from people who’ve been there and done that.
Since we had several folks with great lists, I’ve decided to give each of them $100 NPE bucks good towards any product on our webstore.
Jim Cipriani, Ginny Grupp, Chris Tuck, and Tina Davis are all winners.
Just contact our support staff via email or the contact page and they’ll apply your gift certificate towards any product of your choosing at www.FitnessMarketingSystems.com/webstore.
Have a great Sunday,
Sean
P.S. Since Tuesday when we announced VIP opening again for a short period of time, our office has mailed a TON of info-packs with all the details on both the VIP Boot Camp and VIP Studio/Facility Owner programs (where you now get ALL our coaching programs, done-for-you area exclusive marketing tools, bundled I-AM RAINMAKER account, and a whole lot more). If you haven’t requested your no-obligation info-pack yet, then be sure to get on over and do so pronto at:
Based off the strong response so far, I expect we’ll be closing the door on getting more info on VIP later this week.
Here’s another personal trainer marketing post you may enjoy.

Sean,
I got to tell you….even though I have been running boot camps for several years and been very successful the past few years with them……this post mad my Saturday morning boot camp the best ever!
I took action right away with several of the ideas. I feel that I typically have most of these ideas covered, which is why I am successful but this past Saturday morning I focused on saying every clients name in a positive way 2-3 times. I also made sure I had a short one on one conversation with each of them.
The energy in the room was awesome and my energy going into it with this post in my head gave me a certain creativity in my program design that I don’t usually have.
Thanks for igniting the fire like you do each and every week for me and my business!
Our pleasure Andrew. And thanks for your post!
