A fantastic book on training (reccomended reading)

I don’t know what the weather is like where you are, but right now we’re freezing down here in Orlando.

Had slow flurries last night.

Yes, snow in Florida.

Crazy.

Anyway, I’m staying warm inside doing some clean up work today and wanted to let you know about a great book on training I just finished reading that is fantastic.

It’s a brand new publication just released by our friends at Dragon Door called “Convict Conditioning“.

Not only does the author have a very interesting story (he spent several years surviving in some of America’s toughest prisons and shares how his dedication to training allowed him to mentally get through it all), but it’s also hands down the best book on bodyweight training I’ve ever read.

I can’t imagine a single coach out there that wouldn’t benefit from incorporating some of “Big Six” progressions with his or her athletes/clients.

Eric and I caught up with John Du Cane a couple weeks after MEGA TRAINING at another event, and spent about an hour talking at the airport waiting for our planes to go home.

John and his daughter Nicole shared a little with us about this new book coming out soon and how they were very excited to share it with the world.

Once we got the notice a few weeks ago it was available for early order, both Eric and I picked up copies right away.

I read mine over the Christmas holiday break (packed it in my suitcase and took it to the beach) and I have to agree that this book is something special.

Head on over to Dragon Door’s website and get yourself a copy here.

Have a great rest of your weekend,
Sean

P.S. Frankly, I’d be shocked if Dragon Door doesn’t build a massive brand around Convict Conditioning as they’ve done with Pavel and the RKC.

Lots to be learned here, and not just by reading the book… but by paying attention to Dragon Door’s marketing.

John has become one of the great direct response marketer’s of our time in the health/fitness space and I continue to be very impressed with all his work.

It’s an honor and pleasure to have Dragon Door as a strategic alliance partner of NPE.
